Description
Impressive performance, exceptional handling and remarkable modern sport-styling prove the all-new redesigned 250 RTC is a clear winner in its class!
Designed to be the top performer in its class—the 250 RTC is the total package that provides all day comfort and effortless handling in the city, exhilarating performance on the open road and the ground clearance and suspension travel needed to truly bring out the adventurer in you.
Engine
A compact, rock solid 250cc 4 stroke air cooled engine demonstrates the advanced race-proven technology. It provides a smooth curve of power with excellent torque figures from idle to the rev limit.
Transmission Features
The crankcase carries a five-speed close-ratio transmission with an universal standard shifting pattern (one down four up). A race-proven wet clutch contributes to smoother downshifting and corner entry.
Styling
Wide handlebars and an upright position have been incorporated to give high levels of stability and maneuverability as well as all day comfort and great visibility. Hop into the firm-feeling seat and the RTC feels much more-narrow than most of the sports bikes. While most sport bikes have an aggressive, track-focused riding position, the RTC is the most relaxed of the group. The seat height ranges from 31.7 inches at its lowest setting to 32.5 inches. The way the seat and tail section are shaped lock the rider in place and help keep riders from moving around too much.
The 250 RTC has a clean dash that feeds information to the rider in an aesthetically pleasing and intelligent manner.
RTC one of the lighter bikes in its class. With its 3.5-gallon fuel tank topped of it tips the scales at 340 pounds. With the exhaust routed below the engine it keeps additional weight low to the ground and that translates to its light feel.
Brakes
With front and rear disc braking system, the Cross runner is not only efficient and powerful, but safe too. 270mm disc is arrested by two-piston calipers at the front, whilst rear 220 mm discs adopt a twin-piston caliper for precise control.
Extensive development work with the ratio of master cylinder-piston to caliper-piston ratios has achieved a high degree of rider feel for optimized levels of braking control and heightened aspects of rider feedback.
